Cat owners may get samples of cat food that is more expensive than the cat food they normally use. If a cat owner receives a sample of expensive cat food, why not use expensive cat food as treats?

If a cat owner uses a sample of cat food in place of the cat’s regular food, the cat can get an upset stomach. Cats do not easily adjust to abrupt dietary changes.

The cat owner can use small parts of the sample of expensive cat food as treats and greatly reduce the cats risk of an upset stomach. The stomachs of some cats are not this sensitive, but some cats can develop diarrhea after eating too much of a difference food from what they’re used to.

The cat food sample must be dry cat food to use expensive cat food as treats. Not only is wet cat food difficulties for cat treats, but the wet cat food can spoil if left open at room temperature or stored in the refrigerator for too long.

Replace only part of the cat’s regular food with part of the sample to use a sample of what cat food. The rest of sample should then be refrigerated until the next day. Then, the cat owner can do the same name with the remaining portion of the sample. After the sample of wet cat food has been opened, it should always be stored in the refrigerator.

If the cat owners have more than one cat, they may divide up the sample among the cats so that no one cat gets enough of the sample to cause stomach upset. However the cat owner decides to use the cat food sample, the cat food sample should not make up more than half of the cat’s meal.

Any cat owners interested in receiving samples of cat food should visit the websites of cat food manufacturers. Several cat food manufacturers periodically have free cat food sample offers on their websites.

Cat owners may need to register to receive the featured cat food sample offer. The cat owner may continue to receive additional samples of cat food after registering on the website of a cat food manufacturer.
